My First Day in OJT

I was very worried that I might not be able to have my OJT. Last week, we sweat our brows working on our papers just to earn ourselves a slot in a certain big-time company. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it. The boys and I had no choice but to find another. And we separated ways in looking for a company that will cater our request. And so, yesterday I ended up applying as a student trainee in Jairosolutions, Inc., training to be a technical writer, SEO content writing and stuffs alike.

Last night during a dinner with a friend, I was so jittery that he ended up offering to accompany me to my final interview withthe Davao Supervisor of Jairosolutions in the person of Mr. Vicsante Aresenio. Ms. Theresa Galleto and the staff were a blessing in making me feel that I’m already a part of the Jairosolutions company. There was even a time that everyone in the office. including me, were busy pounding on our keyboards just to chat with each other. I am the only student trainee so I’m receiving all the attention.

My first task is to write an article that will showcase the strengths of our company and introduce the methodology they use. Later, I was made to write captions of the products they were currently working on. Ms. Melay told me that later this week, I will be introduced to the technology they are using, particularly ASP Storefront (if I heard the term right!) and databasing. Pretty cool, huh!! By the way, Ms. Melay is a Cum Laude Graduate of Ateneo ComSci.. Mr. Bing told me that he’ll make sure I get first hand experience in the field of IT. I’ve been learning a lot today through the courtesy of the Jairo people.

I’m looking forward to my days working with these people. Isn’t it a flattery that they already consider me as part of the Jairo family? Hmmmmm,, exciting!!!!!!!
