CATHastrophic Mediocrity

After I stopped from my summer job, I suffered from a week of "forced idleness". I have no work, and I ain’t getting blogging tasks. So I sat idle, waiting for some grace to dwell on me. After a week, I also suffered from two weeks of physical and mental exhaustion for the recently concluded ITE Elections, and no one knew how happy I was after the oath taking ceremony. Darn! I have to run across the lobby on my slacks just to get on time for the mass.

I’m now currently on my heels as the News Editor of the TCI, grabbing people by the neck tro write for me.. No! Just joking! I’m looking for people who have the love for the art of writing - particularly hard straight news. I’m really into poetry but I just have to wait till January to get my work printed in the folio.

Those are the reasons this blog ain’t having any updates.

Writing.. It’s my first love aside from the visual arts. I’ve also tried portraits and caricatures. It was really my fantasy to become a penciller or a fashion designer. It’s just a wild fantasy anyway. <SIGH!> After years of writing in my elementary and high school, joining press conferences, attending seminars, and the like, I thought I’m getting tired of the whole stuff. When I made it to college, I said to myself that I have to take a rest but then, a sudden SMS telling me that they wanted me to write something for the paper made me change my mind. Such offer to write for the paper is something that I find very irresistible.

And so here I am again. Writing.

Aside from making straight news, one of my leisures is writing poetry. I’ve made a few number of sonnets. Two of my pieces are "A New Found Haven" and "Better Depart From Thee" which are also my personal favorites. What I wrote in my poetry is my own autobiography.

It’s maybe because I’m fond of suppressing my own feelings that the only outlet I have is poetry. Sadness, happiness, fear, and fondness for someone.. Name it.. I have it.. My poetry is a reflection of me..

You may find me alone, scribbling something on a notebook (besides Sudoku), it’s either I’m making notes of my thoughts, or just plainly scribbling images.

I love my pen and paper because they are my mirror.
