Movie Get-awys

Every week-end, I’m always on a movie-getaway with my hubby(maybe because we’re running out of nice places to go aside from the usual fast food chains and restos we dine in). Well, anyway, here’s the list of movies we watched these past weeks. (We’re not really Toni Gonzaga and Vhong Navarro’s fanatics so I’m sorry if you can’t find their film in my list.. Hek3)

  • BODY OF LIES starring Leonardo de Caprio as CIA Agent Roger Ferris working in Jordan  to find those terrorists raising amock. His alliance with Head of Jordanian Intrelligence Hani Salaam (Mark Strong) was put to danger because of his boss Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe).
  • QUANTUM OF SOLACE  - I wasn’t able to watch the Casino Royale last year I think. This film tells the story of Bond’s (Daniel Craig) own vendetta for his beloved wife. A story coming back with revenge, more murder, and sinister motives. Maybe this film is just like any other action movies. It reminds me more of Bourne Ultimatum.
  • Change of air, MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA - Love it! I’m not really much into guys firing arms and bombing each other. Hek3. My hubby and I almost welled up with laughter when the kid beside us just started singing the song "I like to move it, move it!!". The movie was just starting. Hahaha.. The story opens when Zuba, the King of Jungle was teaching Alakay(Alex) how to fight, when Makunga challenged his throne, and Alakay was caught by poachers. He fell into the river and was drifted away to New York City displayed in Central Park Zoo where he grew up being loved by everyone because of his dancing prowess. He met Gloria, the hipo, Melman, the sickly giraffe, and Marty the Zebra. They are one bunch of animals who were riding an airplane which ran out of fuel, finding themselves in their home, AFRICA. And this is where the story starts for Alex, Marty, GLoria, and Melman… Hhmmmm… Alex, being banished because he was defeated in a fight which he had mistaken as a dance contest, Gloria who was dated by Moto Moto simply because of her plumpness, Marty who finds himself within a group of clones, and Melman who thinks he’s dying of Witch Doctor’s Disease and is itching to tell GLoria he loves her.. Are giraffes supposed to be married to Hippos?????  hehehehe… Better watch the movie guys…..

Thought So..

Filed under: Personals, Yabee and Me

It was a few years back when I last celebrated a special day with someone - aside from birthdays, and alike. My guy is twenty-four years old. And I never expected someone as old as he is would even mind celebrating our first month as ‘US’. Hehe.. So I didn’t care much if it’s our first month. It quite surprised me, really that he kept on reminding me of that occassion. Hmm! I know he’s quite a sweet guy. And it causes that weird chemistry between his serious and naughty side.

It was April 2, 2008 when I first saw this guy open the door and walked his way to the table beside mine. ANd on that first day, I sensed there’s something in him that I should know because he caught my attention without any particular reason. I was just in my OJT those days, and I thought a new face in a crowd of twenty was not important to him in any way. Later in the afternoon, Dirk kidded him to give me a piece of his biscuit. And it went that way almost everyday. I didn’t mind if he notices me or not. He’s just the usual seriuos guy at work. For some reason, I was intimidated by my first impression of him.

It was May 26, 2008 (if I’m not mistaken) when the serious guy started having a chat with me while at work. He doesn’t usually do that at the office. Maybe it was because of a serious business (enrollment of his brother  - excuses!!!). Two days later, we were already sending each other SMS. And the day after, had dinner together over a pizza and some salad. The serious guy evolved to someone quite surprising. He was, in fact, a sweet person after all.

I thought it was just the usual fling I used to have during the last couple of years of being single. And so I dated him for almost two months without any thought of making it serious. His 24th birthday came, and I was invited to give him a small surprise. JJ asked me how long we’ve been together. He was quite surprised to find out that there was no ‘US’.That night, I was asking myself why we’ve been acting like it’s ‘US’ when there’s no ‘US’ really. (to be continued…..)
